"Cooperation with Swiss Railways"/ Balluku: In the future, Albania will be part of European corridors

Major investments in our country's railway lines will include them in European corridors. In this regard, Albania is also expected to receive assistance from Switzerland. The statement was made by the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Infrastructure and Energy, Belinda Balluku.
" It would be great to travel by train from Switzerland to Albania and we will do it in the future through European railway corridors where Albania will become a part, as is being done with highways, but today we are on a trip with the team of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Energy and that of the Albanian Railways to have a bilateral meeting with the Federal Minister for Transport, Energy and Environment, here in Switzerland.
"We are making a trip from Zurich to Bern, thus proving the efficiency, the efficiency that the railway has and making plans for a close cooperation with the Swiss railway in the future regarding the development of railway transport, starting with the first project, the one from Tirana to Durrës, " said Balluku.
The Tirana-Durres railway with the extension to Rinas airport is expected to open for traffic next year.
