"The fashion sector will be compensated for any losses" - Berisha: We will promote population growth and reduce energy prices
The Chairman of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, in a meeting with tailoring businesses, said that the Alliance for a Greater Albania will undertake a series of policies to help businesses in this sector, hit by the devaluation of the euro.
"You as a business have managed, despite the depreciation of the euro against the local currency, to survive in a sector that has become very difficult. There are many tailors who have gone bankrupt due to the depreciation of the exchange rate. It has been three years since exports have been falling by 32%. After May 11, the board will meet to compensate every cent that has been lost by businesses in this sector, " said opposition leader Sali Berisha.
Another important problem in this sector is the lack of labor, an issue that the Democratic leader linked to the high rate of immigration, promising new policies for population growth.
"The state must create all fiscal incentives to help entrepreneurship. We will undertake a demographic policy to encourage the birth of a third child and take responsibility from birth to its upbringing, " said the leader of the Democrats.
Furthermore, Berisha said that they will also reduce the price of energy from the current 18 lek to 6 lek per kilowatt.
