Qukës - Qafë Plloçë road is expected to be completed in the fall - Summer season, ARRSH intervenes in several axes in the south of the country
Works on all three lots of the Qukës - Qafë Plloçë axis are continuing at a faster pace, to meet the objective of completing this segment by the beginning of autumn.
This important axis will shorten the distance and travel time to the southeast of the country, as well as stimulate new impulses of economic development. After inherited problems, financing has been secured and all three phases of this project are progressing significantly.
The route of this axis passes through difficult and mountainous terrain, which remains a challenge for the maintenance of this axis during the winter.
Meanwhile, in this season and due to the significant increase in the flow of vehicles towards the south of the country, the Albanian Road Authority, in cooperation with maintenance companies, has taken all necessary measures on the ground to guarantee safe and normal traffic on the road axes leading towards the coast.
ARRSh announces that interventions have been carried out:
Cleaning of ditches and vegetation in the segments Llogara - Palasë, Dhërmi, and Jalë - Himarë, Krane-Syri i Kaltër; Repair of protective barriers on the Vlorë-Uji i Ftohtë, Kardhiq - Delvinë axis.
Works and monitoring will continue in the coming days to ensure safety and ease of movement for all road users.
