On the other hand, 2024 has brought the greatest economic damage in the last 5 years, damages amounting to 280 million euros.

But what is the estimated economic damage in 2025?

High temperatures, which set a record on Saturday, have significantly increased the number of fires across the country. However, there are also cases where arson has been intentional.

Currently, the fire situation in Albania is very alarming. Firefighters, the Armed Forces, including air and ground forces, are engaged 24 hours a day to extinguish the flames. Recently, the European Union also sent a firefighting aircraft from Italy, Canadair, which will strengthen interventions in difficult terrain and inaccessible by land.
