Fires in Albania continue to be active, while Defense Minister Pirro Vengu published the latest information on the actions being carried out in 15 problematic areas.

Accompanying them with footage of the helicopter operation, Vengu underlines that the Armed Forces, AKMC structures and local civil emergencies continue to be on the ground and in air operations to deal with active outbreaks. Engaged today with 953 forces, 56 firefighting vehicles, 4 helicopters and in support an Italian Canadair aircraft.

But, according to the National Civil Protection Agency, during the last 24 hours, 34 fires have been identified, of which 17 are still active, 6 are under monitoring and 11 have been extinguished.

"In the Lura National Park, developed in large foci towards the Pelave field, where homes are not at risk, and in the eastern direction of Gur-Lura where it had the greatest extent crossing the plateau field, and over the village of Sitë of the Arras administrative unit. Over 54 forces of operational structures have been engaged in the field," - according to AKMC.

Among other things, in the village of Zallgjocaj, in the municipality of Mat, work continues to extinguish the fire, with an extension of over 14 km. Also, in Qafë-Buall in Bulqizë, the fire continues to be active, while the operations to extinguish it have helped to minimize the spread of the flames. But how is the situation seen in southern Albania?

"In the villages of Piqeras and Sasaj, fires became problematic during the night, endangering homes, and it became possible to evacuate residents. 9 fire engines, 1 ambulance, air force helicopters and an Italian Canadair aircraft, provided by the European Civil Protection Mechanism, were deployed to the field," explained AKMC.
