AAPSK donates a vehicle to the Children's Home in the Municipality of Shkodra
The Agency for the Administration of Sequestered and Confiscated Assets (AAPSK) has donated a transport vehicle (van, which will be used for the transportation needs of children from the Orphanage in the Municipality of Shkodra. This is one of the latest initiatives in the framework of expanding institutional cooperation with local self-government units, to utilize confiscated assets for social purposes.
The delivery of the vehicle to the Municipality of Shkodra constitutes a first step towards further deepening the cooperation between the two institutions, with the aim of guaranteeing better conditions for children in institutional care, as well as for other groups in need.
This case comes after another significant initiative with the Municipality of Bulqiza, where AAPSK has transferred a vehicle through a free capital transfer that will be used to provide specialized services for children with disabilities in remote areas of this municipality.
These cases represent concrete examples of the transformation of assets obtained from crime into instruments for building a more just, inclusive and sensitive society to the needs of vulnerable groups.
AAPSK will continue to cooperate closely with central and local institutions to expand the use of confiscated assets in the public interest.
