The renaissance of the Selman Stërmasi – Rama Stadium The winning project will give Tirana another beautiful urban center!
After announcing the winning project in the international competition for the architectural design concept for the revival of the "Selman Stërmasi" stadium, Prime Minister Edi Rama shared the first visual images on social media this morning, creating an idea of what the area around the stadium will look like after the completion of the works.
"The winning project for the rebirth of the "Selman Stërmasi" Stadium, a proposal by OMA Studio, the prestigious international architecture firm, which will give Tirana another beautiful urban center, full of life and attractions," said Rama.
In the final phase of the international competition, five finalist teams participated and presented to the jury the architectural concepts for a completely new stadium, according to UEFA standards, category IV, which will turn that area into a new center of Tirana.
The area around the "Selman Stërmasi" stadium will be transformed, becoming a revitalized urban fabric, with vibrant public squares, green spaces and mixed-use areas to stimulate social and economic vitality.
