The Minister of Education and Sports, Ogerta Manastirliu, through a social media announcement announces the reopening of registrations for students of the first and tenth grades of pre-university education on September 5. The application is carried out online, following the steps instructed in the relevant registration service on the official e-Albania platform. Also, the process only takes a few minutes.
On the other hand, parents cannot choose the school. They are obliged to register their child in the educational institution determined by the system. First-grade students are allowed to register in the public educational institution that covers the place of residence of the person exercising parental responsibility for the student. The territorial coverage map, approved by the local unit, is respected during the registration of students in the first grade.
Likewise, students are enrolled in public high schools according to the high school zone, that is, according to the preliminary planning of the Local Offices of Pre-University Education. The high school zone and the preliminary planning are strictly respected by the director of the IA.
The person exercising parental responsibility makes the application online by filling in the necessary information on the form and awaits a response approving or rejecting the application.
Meanwhile, admissions to secondary education-oriented schools (artistic, sports, foreign language and other field schools) are made according to the provisions of the relevant ministerial directive.
