Rama: Albania, a leader in public administration

Following his speech at the end-of-year conference with journalists, Prime Minister Edi Rama said: "According to the assessment of Sigma, which is the institution that makes these assessments in Europe, Albania is considered a leading country in public administration, such as public finance management, public services and human resources management. Of course, this is in contrast to what is being cooked in the 700 media and political pots, but Sigma has nothing to do with these.
We have created the Alb Trace company, which is an innovation in the life of the country, thanks to a collaboration with the United Arab Emirates, ensuring that Albania, which has been dependent on old concessions, benefits from fiscal stamps, brands fuels locally, and produces several other things locally, which will increase security and transparency.
We have opened a new chapter to reduce the use of cash, we have lowered some limits. I want to emphasize very strongly that every business operating in tourism and transport will definitely have to guarantee alternative forms of payments for citizens, but also the means to make electronic payments, and every business within the next year must ensure this.
"What I want to emphasize is that by June every business operating in the tourism and transport sector will have to guarantee alternative forms of payment for citizens, not just cash and nothing else, but also the means to make electronic payments. Within the next year every business in Albania must guarantee an alternative form of payment, for locals or visitors to pay by card or other forms of electronic payment."
