Rama: We are discussing France's involvement in the construction of the Durrës-Pristina railway!
Prime Minister Edi Rama announced today the involvement of France in the project for the construction of the Durrës-Prishtina railway, while also focusing on other cooperation projects in the field of sustainable tourism, renewable energy and waste treatment.
In a joint press conference with French President Emmanuel Macron, Rama informed that the meeting discussed the possibility of France's involvement in the construction of the Durrës-Pristina railway and in this regard, further direct communications will be conducted to see how France's involvement can materialize.
Macron, meanwhile, underlined the necessity for the process to continue, to maintain credibility and reach a sustainable agreement for both sides.
"I hope that in the coming weeks we will resume the dialogue with Pristina and Belgrade, because each country has faced political and social difficulties to make progress possible. It is important for the entire region. I think the demands are legitimate, we cannot allow an indirect dialogue to be established, it is not the correct way to advance. At least we have a will for the purpose of advancing for the security of Europe. For its unification we must take this path, but it is legitimate to have demands for this. It is never a good idea when we try to divide the lines or question the process. We will continue to move forward with force, we will re-engage them, we will go alongside European partners so that things advance in Kosovo. For NATO and its demands ," Macron declared.
