The Youth Center in the Saranda Municipality opens its doors to over 6 thousand young people of Saranda - Muzhaqi: "From a dilapidated building to a center of opportunities for young people"
The young people of Saranda will have at their service the new Youth Center. A modern and functional space, transformed from a dilapidated building into an environment of development and creativity for over 6,000 young people of the coastal city.
The Minister of Youth and Children, Bora Muzhaqi, emphasized the importance of this investment as a concrete response to a long-standing request of young people in Sarandë.
"This center is proof that when young people articulate their needs and institutions listen, change is possible. From a dilapidated building, today we have a modern center with a reading room, computer room, book club, podcast and cinema. Now it is your turn, dear young people of Saranda, to take this space into your own hands and turn it into a point of personal, professional and academic development ," Muzhaqi underlined.
This project was implemented by the Minister of State for Youth and Children through the National Youth Agency and in cooperation with the Municipality of Saranda, as part of the support for youth infrastructure. The Saranda Youth Center brings to 15 the number of municipalities across the country in which youth now have their own “home” and can organize meetings and activities in the function of education and increasing cooperation between them.
Earlier, the construction of youth centers in Tirana, Librazhd, Malësi e Madhe, Dibër, Mat, Durrës, Shkodër, Korce, Pogradec, Lezhë, Elbasan, Roskovec, Gjirokastër and Kamëz was completed. Through this program, the Minister of State for Youth and Children aims to guarantee quality infrastructure for young people throughout Albania, creating spaces for education, creativity, cooperation and increasing their potential.
