16 million lek for the Dunavec River embankment - Eliminates flooding of 3,620 ha of agricultural land in Korça
Work continues on cleaning the Dunavec riverbed in Korça and rehabilitating the embankment to improve drainage and protect 3,620 ha of agricultural land.
This investment improves conditions for farmers, maintaining production, increasing yields and guaranteeing product quality.
The completion of the works prevents the problem of flooding of agricultural lands in this area, worth 16 million lek, financed by the Albanian government.
Works on the protective infrastructure are carried out in accordance with technical protocols, where the investment eliminates the risk of flooding from river flows and the road connecting the plots.
During the winter and spring seasons, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, through the irrigation and drainage boards, has intervened in several works of irrigation and drainage infrastructure, or in river embankments in several areas of the country, with the aim of their rehabilitation and maintenance, to prevent flooding of agricultural lands from rainfall.
