New National Center for Children's Culture nearing completion - Rama: It will be equipped with international programs
The country's Prime Minister, Edi Rama, inspected the construction site of the new National Center for Children's Culture, near the Great Lake Park. According to forecasts, the works will be completed by the end of the current year and the center will be functional in the spring of next year.
"There will be 7 thousand square meters equipped with all activities for all age groups. An extraordinary surface with many spaces and multifunctional environments. The project works are expected to be completed by the end of this year, while its operation will begin in the spring of next year. The main challenge is the creation of staff, as the center cannot be put into operation without a dedicated team. This requires fine arts teachers, stage teachers, dedicated and well-paid people. Actors and directors are also needed. This is a European center and the largest in the region. It will have an international program, because it cannot be maintained only with local programs," said Prime Minister Rama during the inspections of the works.
This center will serve to provide optimal conditions for socio-cultural activities and the development of courses on performing and visual arts, such as acting, ballet and dance classes, music, painting, sculpture and digital arts. Through this new infrastructure, the city will be added a double stage, both inside the building and outside, in the form of an open-air amphitheater.
