Unstable employees! - Bars in the capital are looking for staff at least 2 times a year
Unstable waiters and bartenders are forcing bars and restaurants in Tirana to publish job advertisements several times a year, often for the same position.
According to data from various online employment agencies and social media, at least one bar or restaurant posts job openings 2 to 3 times a year for positions as a waiter, bartender, or similar roles in the service field.
Most of these businesses are bars with several locations in different areas of the capital, which due to high staff turnover are constantly looking for new employees.
The main reasons are related to relatively low salaries, lack of insurance, and often the inability to reach a certain monthly income target.
A large portion of young people prefer to leave Tirana to work in hotels and seaside resorts during the tourist season, where salaries are higher and often include other benefits.
So far, one employment site has published an average of 50 to 60 announcements for positions as waiters, bartenders or similar roles in bars and restaurants in the capital alone, clearly reflecting the mobility and lack of stability in this job sector.
