What should be the new industrial vision in Albania? - “Human capital and regional market, keys to a productive economy”
The development of an Albanian industrial model would be considered by economists as one of the potentials that Albania should exploit.
According to economic expert Eduart Gjokutaj, investment in human capital and connection to the Kosovo market are among the main pillars for a new economic model.
"Based on the factors in which the Albanian economy is located, which has no other option than to develop its industry, but an industry that is based on those demands, of course, in addition to regulating the internal environment in relation to those things that have to do with competitiveness, productivity, and investment in human capital, of course I will also aim to make an extension, or market access with Kosovo that comes naturally, based on what has been done to date, and based on its ambitions which in themselves, have similarities with what Albania seeks and of course at the moment they become a hegemonic combination in the Western Balkans, it also serves the greatest ambitions in the value chains of the world market, and to adapt to what the world economic architecture itself is changing."
But how can we develop a competitive manufacturing economy in Albania?
"Of course, competitiveness is not just a term, but is composed of those elements that are most affected by the effect of investments in human capital, which has to do with how it will be offered not simply as professional skills to obtain a diploma, but to approach market demands and on the other hand to invest in those sectors that can adapt more quickly to domestic production to guarantee security in some strategic elements."
