Procurements save the budget 20.4 million euros - Gonxhe: Procedures have been simplified and transparency has increased
Nearly 20.4 million euros were saved from the state budget in one year due to efficient tenders conducted through the Centralized Purchasing Operator (CPO).
One year after the establishment of this institution, the Minister of Economy, Blendi Gonxhja, emphasized that in addition to reducing costs, procedures have been simplified and transparency has increased.
"The importance of reducing public costs and the trust that we had to have and gain was important, and this is also confirmed by important international institutions that list Albania in first place in the region for transparency in public procurement."
While the director of the Centralized Purchasing Operator emphasized that the Albzone platform has transformed the way public institutions carry out the procurement procedure, while emphasizing that the iAlbzone platform is nearing completion.
"We are nearing the completion of the iAlbzone platform that will enable direct purchases through the virtual store, making the process simpler, more transparent and more sustainable."
There are currently 460 registered economic operators receiving automatic notifications for Centralized Purchasing Operator announcements and 165 unique clients. The number of beneficiary institutions is 141.
