Government program for roads/ Construction of 700 km by 2029, here are the axes

Construction and modernization of the national road network is one of the main points of the government program 2025-2029, as part of the second pillar: Sustainable economic growth. According to the document, by 2029, 700 km of new roads are expected to be built, completing the national network with modern standards.

Road projects, according to the government program:

Complete the key segments of the Blue Corridor: Milot-Balldren, Milot-Thumanë, Kashar-Peze-Lekaj and Lekaj-Konjat-Fier, creating a new axis of national development.

We are building the connecting segment of the Elbasan Bypass, which connects the Tirana-Durres highway with Corridor VIII in the direction of Lekaj, creating a complete and functional connection between the western axis and the trans-European corridors.

We complete the Coastal Road (Dhermi–Saranda), along with the Saranda Bypass and the Ksamil Road, guaranteeing full access and sustainable tourism development on the Albanian Riviera.

We are implementing the Çajup Ring Road (Gjirokastër–Libohovë–Kardhiq), creating a new functional connection between the inner south and the national network.

We complete the Vjosa Road (Ersekë–Përmet–Tepelena), transforming the valley into a development corridor and connecting the southeast with the south.

We are building the Berat-Skrapar-Gramsh axis, opening new tourist and economic opportunities in Central Albania.

We are implementing the Lakes Road (Rrëshen–Burrel), increasing access and connecting Dibra to the national network.

We complete the Mountain Road (Vau i Dejës–Pukë–Fushë Arrëz), guaranteeing faster and safer connections to the deep north and generating sustainable development.
