Port of Durres, 12% increase in goods processing - APD: Services have been improved and processes optimized

The Port of Durres reports a positive performance in the processing of goods during the beginning of 2026. The Durres Port Authority announces that, during the first two months of the year, an increase in the volume of goods processed at the port was recorded.
In February alone, cargo processing has seen a 12% increase compared to the same period a year ago. This increase indicates an intensification of activity at the port quays and a growing demand for the services offered by the Port of Durres.
Meanwhile, in total, the first two months of 2026 reflect an increase of 5.4%, confirming a positive trend in port activity.
This development is related to the intensification of work at the port's quays and efforts to increase operational efficiency. The Durres Port Authority emphasizes that improving services and optimizing processes is directly impacting on increasing performance and increasing processing capacities.
The increase in the volume of goods also reflects a revival in trade exchanges. The Port of Durres is the main port of Albania, which continues to play an important role in connecting the Albanian market with the region and beyond.
The Durrës Port Authority continues to invest in infrastructure and services to better cope with increasing flows and improve the passenger experience.
