State Police action on Gjipesa beach: 399 umbrellas and sun loungers seized!
As part of the "Free Beach" operation, the State Police announced today that the public space on Gjipe beach, which was occupied by umbrellas and sun loungers placed without permission, was freed.
The police announced today that "the services of the Himara Police Commissariat, in cooperation with the Municipal Police and with the assistance of the Border Police, the FNSH, and the Naval Forces, intervened from the sea, in the Gjipe Bay, to liberate illegally occupied public spaces."
"The checks found that citizens AZ, B. Sh., GS and M. Sh. had illegally occupied public areas, from 300 to 500 m² each, in which they had placed umbrellas and sun loungers, without being provided with a permit from the relevant authorities and without a NIPT for the exercise of the activity," the announcement states.
Following the procedural actions, the Crime Investigation specialists of the Himara Police Commissariat referred the materials to the Prosecutor's Office, where criminal proceedings were initiated against these four citizens, for the criminal offenses of "Land occupation" and "Hiding income".
As material evidence, the Police announced that a total of 131 umbrellas and 268 sun loungers were seized, which were transported with the help of Navy vessels, due to the difficult terrain.
