Use of seashores for beaches, government approves model agreement

At its meeting today, the government approved the standard model of the agreement, to be concluded between the National Coastal Agency and investors, for the use of seashores, lakes, and rivers as beach resorts. According to the decision, in cases where the Strategic Investment Committee has not set a deadline for the use of shores as beach resorts, a deadline is set in function of the implementation of the strategic investment project.

ABOUT
APPROVAL OF THE MODEL TYPE OF AGREEMENT, CONCLUDED BETWEEN THE NATIONAL COASTAL AGENCY AND THE INVESTOR, FOR THE USE OF COASTS OF SEAS, LAKES, RIVERS AS BEACH STATIONS
In support of Article 100 of the Constitution and point 2, Article 29, of Law No. 55/2015, “On Strategic Investments in the Republic of Albania”, as amended, upon the proposal of the Minister of Economy and Innovation and the Minister of Tourism, Culture and Sports, the Council of Ministers
DECIDED:
1. Approval of the standard model of the agreement, concluded between the National Coastal Agency and the investor, for the use of seashores, lakes, and rivers as beach resorts, according to the text attached to this decision and forming an integral part thereof.
2. If the decision of the Strategic Investment Committee has not set a time limit for the use of seashores, lakes, rivers as beach resorts, then this time limit will be in function of the implementation of the strategic investment project, but not longer than the time limit set in point 2, article 29, of law no. 55/2015, "On strategic investments in the Republic of Albania", as amended.
3. The Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sports, the National Coastal Agency and local self-government units are responsible for the implementation of this decision.
This decision enters into force upon publication in the "Official Gazette".
