Pensioners, more money at the end of the year - The 2025 state budget changes again. Infrastructure projects, 6 billion lek additional
Pensioners will receive a higher bonus this year-end. Through a normative act, the government has changed the state budget, where the fund dedicated to the year-end bonus will be 5.9 billion lek or 59 million euros.
Referring to the report, this change is made based on the expected realization of contributions for 2025, which result in an excess, as well as with the aim of improving the level of meeting the needs of pensioners and addressing the economic problems that this category of society faces.
The year-end bonus for 756 thousand pensioners, which has consistently marked both an increase in frequency and an upward trend in the amount of the benefit, always focuses on improving the level of meeting the needs of this category.
On the other hand, capital expenditures with domestic financing increase by 7.97 billion lek, of which about 6 billion lek go as an addition to the advancement of various projects of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Energy.
Specifically: 2.4 billion lek in road transport for projects with good performance, for which funding is advanced from 2026, creating space in that year for new projects, such as: "Construction of the Tirana - Elbasan connecting road with Corridor VIII"; "Urban development, requalification, Tirana - Durrës Superroad (Phase I - III)"; "Construction of the Kashar - Vaqarr Interchange road (Phase III)"; "Relocation of high-voltage lines on the axis, Corridor VIII".
In the air transport program, 3 billion lek will go to support Albcontrol in the form of a capital transfer, due to operational difficulties after the blocking of accounts.
In the "Energy Support" program, 203 million lek are going to settle the liabilities of several institutions (AIE, AKBN, the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, etc.)
In the railway transport program, 364 million lek for 2025 for the implementation of the railway line project "Public Transport Terminal - Tirana Train Station (4 km)", as an extension of the Durrës-Tirana line, with a total value of 1.8 billion lek.
In other programs, about 50 million lek for the program "Support for industry and support for natural resources".
The changes in the budget were made as a result of changes in the government cabinet and the reallocation of funds to institutions that were not covered, as well as the good revenue performance in the first 9 months.
