The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, has stated that society's attitude towards people with special abilities, in one way or another, is a kind of abandonment.
During a conversation with representatives of this stratum of society, Berisha stated that every effort should be made to include them within the possibilities in normal life and at work.
We have announced that in Albania there will be no pension below 200 euros. But I guarantee that the pensions for you, that is, this living minimum, will be exceeded according to the degree of disability, without any hesitation. I assure you that for every citizen with disabilities, who is the head of the family, who supports the family, his family members will be treated with the living minimum.
According to Berisha, this is not charity but a major obligation and everything will be done for rehabilitation.
I have emphasized and I emphasize that this is a missing sector in Albania. I assure you that the most serious investments will be made in the rehabilitation sector, so that every citizen with disabilities can develop, improve their skills, exercise and be rehabilitated. Rehabilitation here is almost non-existent. Or if you want to get it, it is very expensive and unaffordable.
Berisha concluded his speech by promising that the state will cover all types of expenses that you have to compensate for different abilities.
