"Mountain Package", the Government approves development zones in Elbasan, Belsh, Përmet and Skrapar

Within the framework of the Law on the Mountain Package, the Council of Ministers has approved priority areas for development in several municipalities of the country. Specifically, at today's meeting, maps were approved in the municipalities of Belsh, Përmet, Skrapar and Elbasan.
The government's decision comes about 1 week after Prime Minister Rama's meeting with the country's mayors, most of whom he reprimanded for negligence, as they had not submitted to the Council of Ministers the map with the areas selected as priority for development, in the respective municipalities.
During the meeting, Rama ordered the establishment of a task force composed of 3 people for each municipality, which will serve to assist or facilitate procedures for people who have expressed interest in being part of the first 500 to be approved for investment permits. The first 500 investors will benefit from a 10-year contract where, for this period of time, they will not pay any taxes to the state.
