Extensive operation against fires during the night/ Vengu: Three helicopters in Gramsh and two in Delvinë!
Minister of Defense, Pirro Vengu, announced today that the extensive firefighting operation has continued non-stop throughout the night to limit the perimeter of the flames near residential areas and national parks throughout Albania.
In a post on social media, he said that currently three helicopters are operating in Gramsh and two others in Delvina, while hundreds of local emergency personnel and the Armed Forces are working non-stop in the hottest areas: Fushë Arrëz, Gramsh, Tepelenë, Dropull, Delvina and Finiq.
Earlier, during yesterday's afternoon, the situation became critical in several villages of Gramsh.
Vengu emphasized that work is being done with determination, professionalism and dedication to protect life, property and the environment. The Minister also expressed gratitude to every force engaged in this challenge.
