Works begin at Llixhat e Bënjës, Përmet/Rama: Conditions to welcome visitors to the enchanting nature
One of the most visited tourist spots in Përmet, Llixhat e Bënjës, has undergone a redevelopment process, which is expected to be completed in March of this year. The works aim to improve services, the tourist landscape, and to create a sustainable development attraction. Prime Minister Edi Rama shared photos on social media from the works being carried out at this tourist spot that attracts thousands of domestic and foreign visitors every year.
" The Benja Spas are changing their appearance and conditions, to welcome the many visitors and tourists in their enchanting nature, " writes Prime Minister Rama.
The project includes interventions in the road infrastructure, lighting and surrounding areas, aiming to create an integrated tourist area with contemporary standards. This project is divided into several areas, which include parking space, camper area, picnic area, an area dedicated to the sale of local and artisanal products, a bathtub area, an amphitheater designed for activities, and a service area. The thermal springs of Benja, or as they are also called, Benja thermal springs, are located 14 kilometers from the southern city of Përmet in the "Petran" Administrative Unit. The thermal springs are open sources in nature, where the water temperature is 26-32°C. This place surrounded by untouched nature, represents a unique mix between adventure history and nature. This attraction in Përmet is one more opportunity for tourists who visit natural beauties, cultural, health and ecological tourism.
