Sending of ballots to the diaspora begins - CEC: First electoral envelopes for voters from the Dibra and Berat regions
The mailing of envelopes with electoral documentation for voters registered in the diaspora for the May 11 elections has begun. According to information from the CEC, ballots have been sent to voters in the Dibra and Berat districts, while packages have been prepared for around 26 thousand voters. Meanwhile, for this process, there are around 120 people working in three shifts near the center for external voting.
First, the ballot, which is determined by the county where the citizen comes from, after being sealed and placed in envelope A, is then placed in a larger envelope B, which holds the encrypted data of each voter.
The postal company takes Envelope B, places it in the yellow postal envelope, along with the guide, a list of the company's contacts around the world, and another postal envelope for the return of the vote.
Earlier, the Central Election Commission published the guide to the voting procedure for all Albanian emigrants working and living outside Albania.
The entire process is carried out in accordance with the decisions of the Regulatory Commission and the State Election Commissioner, and is fully transparent. The process is being monitored by representatives of electoral entities, international and domestic observers, as well as media representatives. According to the CEC, this is a very important step in ensuring the participation of our fellow citizens living abroad in the country's democratic process.
