Sea cargo at the port, reducing costs for carriers - Agreement/Data exchange through the ASYHUB platform
Trade between Albania and other countries will be further improved, through simplification of procedures and reduction of costs.
Following the modernization of customs services and the digitalization of processes, the General Directorate of Customs and the Durrës Port Authority have signed a Cooperation Agreement for the exchange of advance information data for incoming and outgoing maritime cargoes, through the ASYHUB platform.
The ASYHUB platform represents an important step towards the digital integration of transport and trade data, enabling automatic and secure exchange of information between Port and Customs systems, in accordance with modern risk and security management standards.
Specifically, this agreement aims to simplify and automate the cargo manifest submission process; Reduce the administrative burden on carriers; Improve risk assessment and expedite the release of goods; Increase institutional cooperation and efficiency in customs clearance of maritime cargo.
This new collaboration marks another step forward in the modernization of the Albanian Customs Administration, in order to facilitate trade and digitalize the national logistics chain.
The Port of Durres is the largest commercial port in Albania and one of the most important in the region.
The total amount of goods processed at this port in 2024 amounts to about 4.8 million tons.
