'Gratitude for the Commando Forces' - Rama: They cleared a 10 km fire front between Delvina and Gjirokastra
Prime Minister Edi Rama today expressed his gratitude to the Commando Forces, who cleared the fire areas along the entire Sopot line, between Delvina and Gjirokastra, as the situation created by the fires has currently improved throughout the country thanks to the engagement of state structures.
In a post on social media, Rama shared moments from the work of the Commando Forces, who worked throughout the night and into the morning to completely extinguish the fires.
"A special thank you with gratitude to the Commando Forces, which throughout the night until morning became an added value in clearing every hearth of the entire Sopot line, between Delvina and Gjirokastra, a 10 km fire front that has now been completely calmed down," Rama emphasized.
After intensive efforts by thousands of emergency workers, the fire situation in the country is now more stable. Over the past 24 hours, 57 fires have been reported, of which 29 are active.
