Minister Demo: Next week we will collect facts from the field for the Territorial Reform
The Minister of State for Local Government, Ervin Demo, has stated that next week he will embark on a fact-finding tour of the territory, regarding the Territorial Reform.
Demo said during the SP Group meeting that with the Territorial Reform, not only the boundaries of municipalities will change, but also their functioning.
"Increased capacities and strengthening of municipalities in the territory are required. When we talk about Territorial Reform, it is understood that the product we expect is one that will alleviate all these challenges. We discuss preparing municipalities tomorrow, to address the challenges that the territory itself has, taking into consideration all the problems."
"This week, a fact-finding tour of the territory will begin. And I am convinced that the next step is to assess the functions of the municipality, because we cannot perceive the reform as a reform that will only change the boundaries of the municipalities, but more importantly the functions of the municipalities," Demo said, among other things.
