"Prices should reflect the quality of service", Rama talks with tourist operators in Vlora

Prices on the coast should not compromise the quality of treatment, this is the advice that Prime Minister Rama gave to Vlora's tourist operators at a meeting held this afternoon.
"Prices are not set by the government and there is no instrument to control or impose them, prices are set by the market. But, in this industry, prices must be set according to a strategic vision for the fate of your investments. You cannot act like you are 'drunk' by tourism. You cannot offer poor services and set high prices. A medium and long-term strategy is key to ensuring sustainable profits and not just for the moment," said Rama.
The Prime Minister also touched on another problem facing the city. He called on investors not only to build buildings, but to also think about parking.
"We need more parking lots throughout the country. Two large parking lots are opening soon in Vlora, one near the university in Skela and one on the large Lungomare square, which will accommodate about 600 cars together. It is a very useful and profitable investment. Don't just look at spaces for buildings, but also in this direction, as it will turn into a great innovation for the city. Parking lots can be underground or above ground, with beautiful and attractive architecture. There are many spaces in Vlora that can be used and bring income, serving the city," said Rama.
The prime minister also spoke about one of the most discussed and contested projects, such as Jared Kushner's investment in Sazan Island. Rama said that the Albanian state is still in negotiations and that the project has changed from the initial one where fewer constructions are already planned. "Sazani belongs to Albania and will remain Albania's. We still have not closed the negotiations for Sazan today. Albania will be part of the company that will invest and administer the island. And at this point, Albanians are represented by the state. It is not about closing the island. It will not be a closed resort, it will not become a privileged reserve. The Sazan project has changed the process. It will have very few constructions and will have an important cultural, artistic profile. It will be one of the most beautiful projects developed in the Mediterranean. This will only bring good things for Vlora," said Rama.
The Prime Minister also announced that military ships will be built in Pashaliman and will be further exported to Italy.
