The Supervisory Council of the Bank of Albania meets, reviews the distribution of profits, approves the annual report
The Supervisory Council of the Bank of Albania held its first meeting in more than two months, with the election of new members by the Albanian Parliament in February.
According to the official announcement of the Bank of Albania, today's meeting approved the Annual Report of the Bank of Albania for 2025. The annual report constitutes a legal obligation of the Bank of Albania, through which accountability to the Assembly of Albania and communication with the financial system, the media and the public are realized. It constitutes the most important document that, in a transparent manner, informs the Assembly on the decision-making of the Supervisory Council and the activity of the Bank of Albania, in fulfilling its institutional, monetary, operational and development objectives.
The report, among other things, reflects the general macroeconomic developments in the country; the monetary and foreign exchange policy pursued by the Bank of Albania; developments in the banking system and the potential risks facing financial stability; supervisory, licensing and regulatory activity; monetary emission, payment system, foreign exchange reserve management, statistical, research, communication and public education activities; human resources management; internal control activity and the medium-term objectives of the institution.
During today's meeting, the Supervisory Council reviewed and approved the use of the Bank of Albania's profit for 2025.
According to the official announcement, the Supervisory Council was also informed of other information related to the daily functional and operational activities of the Bank of Albania.
Meanwhile, neither in today's meeting was the approval of the next monetary policy report nor a new decision-making related to the base interest rate announced.
