Safety, almost 90% of construction sites with violations - IKMT, Qendro: They must correct them within 10 days, not an institution that imposes fines
The National Inspectorate of Territorial Protection has undertaken an inspection campaign at construction sites in Tirana and out of 70 entities inspected so far, almost 90% have been found to have violations in terms of technical safety.
The data was announced by IKMT Chief Inspector Afrim Qendro, during a meeting with the Builders' Association, where, among other things, he expressed his commitment that the department he heads should not be seen as an institution that only imposes fines.
The Center also spoke about the reform in the inspectorates, which includes the merger of local inspectorates with IKMT, listing expectations.
The Chief Inspector said that the controls have also been extended to Golem, where there is a considerable intensity of construction, and will then be expanded throughout the country.
