Over 2500 scholarships for vocational education - Which categories benefit?
The Minister of Economy, Culture and Innovation, Blendi Gonxhja, announced through an announcement on social networks that registrations for vocational education will open in July, offering over 2,500 study scholarships of up to 7,320 lek/month for young people attending vocational school.
Through this scholarship program, young people are offered a concrete opportunity to build a secure and fast career in the labor market. The government aims to raise the role of vocational education, make it more accessible and oriented towards the knowledge economy and innovation.
But which categories can benefit from a full study scholarship?
Girls who choose profiles such as mechanics, electronics, woodworking, geodesy, transport services or thermohydraulics benefit from a full scholarship, while every girl who enrolls in vocational education benefits from a half scholarship.
Meanwhile, students who choose priority branches, such as agriculture, veterinary medicine, forestry, construction, fishing, geology, maritime; drilling, exploitation of oil and gas resources also benefit from support.
Excellent students who have completed the previous school year in vocational education with an average grade of over 9 will receive a full scholarship. Support will also be provided to students who live far from vocational schools, providing full reimbursement for transportation or free boarding for students who live more than 5 km from the school. Likewise, the list of beneficiaries includes special needs, students with disabilities, national and Egyptian minorities, orphans or those who have only one parent.
Vocational education has become an important pillar for the development of the national economy and for the preparation of a workforce that meets the real demands of the market. By completing vocational education, any young person can easily find a job even without a university degree. Public vocational secondary education institutions offer 22 study programs and 83 specialization options.
