Lushnje, SHBB is created in the olive oil sector, Minister Salla: New model for the development of agriculture
The Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Andis Salla, together with the Mayor of Lushnja, Eriselda Sefa, presented in Lushnja the creation of the Agricultural Cooperation Society (ACS) in the olive oil sector, an initiative carried out with the support of the Ministry and the Municipality, as well as with the engagement of 17 farmers in the area.
This model aims to strengthen the organization of production and increase cooperation among farmers, consolidating the agri-food chain from farm to market.
During the presentation, Minister Salla emphasized the importance of this model as a new approach to the development of the agricultural sector.
"This is a model where farmers produce separately and sell together, creating conditions for reducing costs, increasing efficiency, and improving market access," he said.
According to him, this organization aims to increase income for farmers and create a more sustainable economic activity in rural areas.
The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development will continue to support this cooperation model, working in coordination with municipalities to expand the SHBBs in the country's 61 municipalities, according to the priority products of each area.
