Releasing the safety belt on national road axes and creating green corridors, Hita-Kozeli meeting

At the General Directorate of the State Police, the General Director of the State Police, Director Madhor Skënder Hita, held a working meeting with the General Director of the Albanian Road Authority, Ami Kozeli.
The meeting was also attended by the joint working groups, with the aim of starting work on taking measures to free up the safety belt on road axes, given that the action to free up spaces on the sides of national roads and create green corridors will begin next week.
Leaders Hita and Kozeli emphasized the importance of this nationwide operation, the finalization of which requires coordination between structures to assume responsibilities and carry out respective tasks.
Director Hita emphasized that the State Police is maximally committed to fulfilling this task and requested from the Security Department that its structures be in full support of the ARA and, in addition to vacating the premises, to continue punishing the responsible citizens with administrative and criminal measures.
Director Kozeli emphasized that the ARRSH has begun work on identifying and removing any construction, object, advertising sign, material deposit, as well as any other unauthorized use within the road boundary, road zone, reserved lane and spaces necessary for visibility and road safety, on national road segments under the administration of the Albanian Road Authority, according to the inventory approved by VKM 234, dated 17.04.2024.
Kozeli announced that the Regional Directorates of the Albanian Road Authority have begun work to notify all businesses, so that in order to vacate illegally occupied spaces, they can take measures to remove any objects from these spaces and to prohibit the illegal use of spaces within the road boundary, road zone, reserved lane and spaces necessary for visibility and road safety, on national road segments under the administration of the Albanian Road Authority.
