Parliament votes on new ministers - Changes in government, 4 new figures enter

The Albanian Parliament has voted to approve the new ministers proposed by Prime Minister Edi Rama and decreed by the President of the Republic, as part of the reorganization of the government cabinet. 

In a turbulent parliamentary session accompanied by numerous debates, the majority initially voted in favor of the dismissals of ministers from the government, starting with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Infrastructure Belinda Balluku, Foreign Minister Elisa Spiropali, Defense Minister Pirro Vengu, Interior Minister Albana Koçiu, Besfort Lamanllari from the Ministry of Justice and Toni Gogu from the Minister for Relations with Parliament. The deputies received 81-85 votes in favor of the dismissal, while 87 deputies were present in the hall. 

The session then continued with the voting on new appointments, officially approving the updated cabinet. Specifically, Albana Koçiu was voted in as Deputy Prime Minister of Albania, Ferit Hoxha will continue to lead Albanian diplomacy, Besfort Lamanllari will lead the Ministry of Interior, Ermal Nufi received a vote of confidence as Minister of Defense, Toni Gogu will be Minister of Justice, Enea Karakaçi was voted in as Head of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Energy, and Erjona Ismaili as Minister for Relations with Parliament. Almost all of the new ministers received 83 votes in favor during the electronic voting procedure, while there were no votes against either.

4 of the figures, starting with the ones who are new arrivals in Prime Minister Rama's cabinet.

The new ministers are expected to take office after taking the oath before the President of Albania, Bajram Begaj.  

The parliamentary session took place amidst strong political debates, while the final vote confirmed majority support for changes in the government cabinet.
