Kosovo, the main investor in Albania - BoA: "It overthrows" Italy. Invested 90 million euros in the third quarter

Kosovo remains an important partner of Albania when it comes to investments. The latest data from the Bank of Albania shows that the sister country leads during the third quarter with 90 million euros classified as foreign direct investments, thus dethroning Italy, which marked the largest volume of investments in the second quarter.
This shows that Kosovo is not only a key trading partner, alongside many other ties and cooperations that exist between the two countries, but also a country that invests significant amounts of money in various sectors of the country.
For the July-September period, Italy ranks second with 48 million euros in investments, followed by the Netherlands with 45 million.
If we compare the flow of foreign direct investment since the beginning of the year, the structure of the countries. Thus, official statistics show that Kosovo ranks among the main contributors, with about 153 million euros, or about 12.7% of investments, an increase that is especially noticeable in the third quarter. This makes Kosovo the most dynamic actor in this period.
Italy holds second place with 11.3% of foreign direct investment, confirming its traditional role as an investor with a continuous presence in the economy. It is followed by the Netherlands with around 10.8% and very close by Turkey, with approximately 10.6%, both countries that are often seen among the main sources of foreign capital in Albania.
At another level, countries such as Austria (8.6%), Germany (6%), the United States of America (4.3%), and Switzerland (3.5%) contribute.
