Over 1 billion lek investments in the network - Increasing energy transmission capacities. OST, two tenders for 110 kV lines

The Transmission System Operator has opened two procurement procedures for investments in the electricity network, aimed at strengthening 110 kV lines and increasing security of supply in several areas of the country. The total value of the two tenders exceeds 1 billion lek.
The first tender refers to the construction of the new double-circuit 110 kV line Sharrë–Selitë. The scope of the works includes the construction of new 110 kV tracts at both substations, the construction of the new double-circuit line partly overhead and partly cable, as well as the implementation of the civil works necessary for the integration of the new tracts into the existing infrastructure.
The project will be implemented on a turnkey basis, including design, manufacturing, transportation, equipment supply, installation, civil works, testing, commissioning and commissioning. The funding limit for this tender is approximately 525 million lek.
The second tender has as its object the strengthening of the 110 kV Kafaraj–Vlorë 1–Babicë line in double circuit and the extension of the conductor in a single circuit. The project foresees the construction of a new 110 kV overhead line with two circuits, which will be connected to the existing tracts of the Kafaraj, Vlorë 1 and Babicë substations, while the current line will be partially dismantled to enable entrances and exits to the substations, while maintaining the same axis. The limit fund for this tender is almost 504 million lek.
The two procedures opened by the OST aim to increase transmission capacities, improve network security and adapt the infrastructure to the growing demands of the country's electricity system.
