The vehicle market in Albania during 2025 is characterized by diversity and sustainable growth.
The General Directorate of Road Transport Services announces that the vehicles registered during this year come from some of the most powerful manufacturing countries in the world. The main weight in the market is held by the Republic of Korea, which leads with 21.4%, followed by Germany with 15.6% and Italy with 15.4%. Meanwhile, China occupies 9.1% of the market, Switzerland occupies 8.4%, while the United States of America occupies 8%.
This development demonstrates a growing market, which reflects the choices, needs and level of development of Albanian citizens.
In parallel with this growth, an orientation towards environmentally friendly vehicles is observed. Year after year, the vehicle fleet in Albania is becoming increasingly “green”. During 2025, 6,187 fully electric vehicles were registered, marking an increase of 98% compared to 2024.
Meanwhile, according to data from the DPSHTRR, 44.4% of vehicles with 0 km registered in the period January-December 2025 are all electric or 65% more compared to 2024.
The addition of electric vehicles to circulation is considered an important step towards reducing pollution, saving energy and building a cleaner, more sustainable and more environmentally friendly transport system.
