The Government approves the Macroeconomic and Fiscal Framework for the period 2027-2029

The Council of Ministers approved at today's meeting the Macroeconomic and Fiscal Framework for the period 2027-2029. The document defines the strategic priorities of the government and projects the macroeconomic expectation in the medium-term time horizon, as well as predicts the level of aggregated items of income and expenditure of the state budget.
It defines the goals and objectives of the government in relation to the main indicators of fiscal policy, such as the overall fiscal balance (deficit), borrowing, public debt, primary and current fiscal balance.
The two main components of the document are: forecasts for the main macroeconomic indicators in the next three years, which represent the expected resources available to the government for the years 2027–2029 and their distribution for this period.

APPROVAL OF THE MACROECONOMIC AND FISCAL FRAMEWORK FOR THE PERIOD 2027-2029
In support of Article 100 of the Constitution and Article 23 of Law No. 9936, dated 26.6.2008, “On the management of the budgetary system in the Republic of Albania”, as amended, upon the proposal of the Minister of Finance, the Council of Ministers
DECIDED:
1. Approval of the macroeconomic and fiscal framework for the period 2027-2029, "Main macroeconomic indicators", link no. 1, and "Fiscal indicators according to the consolidated budget", links no. 2/1 and no. 2/2, which are attached to this decision and are an integral part of it.
2. The Ministry of Finance is responsible for the implementation of this decision.
This decision enters into force immediately and is published in the "Official Gazette".
