Payment of vehicle tax/DPSHTRR: Now 100% online through the e-Albania platform!
The General Directorate of Road Transport Services (GDRTS) informs citizens that vehicle tax payment is now carried out 100% online through the e-Albania platform, guaranteeing full access to payment with any bank card, in a simple way and without physical presence.
According to the announcement, this digital service represents an important step towards modernizing public services and facilitating processes for citizens, by offering a fast, secure and accessible procedure from a phone or computer.
Concrete benefits for citizens
Thanks to this service, around 770,000 vehicle owners benefit from measurable benefits, translated into:
· 282,975,000 lek saved, as a result of eliminating physical presence at DRSHTRR counters;
· 56,146 working days gained, avoiding waiting and travel time to perform the service;
· 23,100,100 km of roads avoided, by avoiding average round-trip trips for service;
· 1,617,000 liters of fuel saved, with direct economic and environmental impact.
This service is the result of cooperation between the DPSHTRR, the National Information Society Agency (NAISA) and the banking sector, with the aim of expanding digital services and improving the citizens' experience.
The goal of the DPSHTRR remains to provide simpler, more accessible and closer public services to citizens, reducing costs, time and bureaucracy.
