364 million euros for road construction - The most financed projects during 2025

The Albanian Road Authority is the budgetary institution with the highest value of transaction payments for 2025. According to data from Open Data Albania, this institution paid 35,125,569,541 lekë last year, or about 364 million euros. Compared to the previous year, the value of transactions has increased by 55%, as for 2024, transactions are estimated at 15.96 billion lekë.

Meanwhile, referring to the detailed expenditure table, there are a number of road projects that have been financed during the year we just left behind. One of the most financed is the construction of Corridor 8, for which work is currently being carried out in 13 different lots, 7 of which from Elbasan to Qafë Thanë and 6 others from Elbasan, towards Rrogozhina.

Another project financed during 2025 is the expansion of the Tirana - Durrës highway, for the 2 contracts of phase I and II. In parallel, treasury transactions show that the Kombinat - Ndroq - Plepa road, where work is also being done, also received financing during the past year.

Also, according to the data, among the most paid contracts in 2025 are those for the construction of the Fier - Patosit Turnpike - Fratar road, as well as Berat - Ballaban. Contractors for the expansion of the Ksamil road, the construction of the Shkodra bypass or the Cerenec - Peshkopi road have also received money. Part of the ARRSH's expenses for 2025 are also several contracts for the construction of the Tirana Ring Road, which was opened for vehicle traffic at the end of 2024.
