Strategic investments until 2026/ Gonxha: Over 24 thousand new jobs. Investments, increase by 2.7 billion!
The Minister of Economy, Culture and Innovation, Blendi Gonxhja, informed through social networks that, "the deadline for obtaining the status "Investment/strategic investor, assisted/special procedure" has been extended until December 31, 2026."
According to him, this decision approved by the Parliament gives investors time and new opportunities to apply under the law "On strategic investments in the Republic of Albania" and to undertake significant investments in potential sectors of the country's economy.
Gonxha stated that this law brings: Stricter monitoring of projects for greater security and implementation; Improved legal framework for greater transparency and efficiency, as well as dedicated support for foreign and domestic investors.
The estimated value of these investments is expected to reach 2.7 billion euros and create 24,323 new jobs and an expected flow of 2 billion euros in foreign direct investment.
Among the priority sectors are tourism (75% of the value of strategic investments come from foreign investors), energy and infrastructure with a focus on innovative and sustainable projects.
"This law not only creates a more favorable climate for investors, but also strengthens the country's economic development prospects. With an improved legal framework and an increased commitment to transparency and efficiency, Albania continues to be a competitive destination for strategic investments," Gonxha said.
