EU integration, increased costs for business/ Jaka, to entrepreneurship: Take measures! Zusi: The bill should be divided into three parts
Albanian businesses and customs will need to be ready by 2030 for membership in the European Union. At the joint forum, the Director General of Customs, Genti Gazheli, emphasized that this process has challenges such as investments in human resources and technology, but also has benefits in facilitating trade, eliminating bureaucracy and reducing administrative costs for enterprises.
"The vision is that by 2030, Albania will have a customs system that operates according to the same standards, procedures and technology as EU member states, providing fast, secure and efficient services to citizens and businesses."
But this process comes at a cost to businesses due to the higher standards they must adhere to.
"Integration is a challenge for entrepreneurship as well. We must be ready to be at the right step and the right standard to be included in the large EU market. I am convinced that entrepreneurship is prepared for the costs of EU membership, as this step may be a success for some but on the other hand may bring challenges" - said Nikolin Jaka, President of the Chamber of Commerce, Tirana.
While businesses require that the bill that falls on businesses be calculated correctly and divided between the three parties.
The meeting is a continuation of the business forums because Albania has entered a new phase of the European integration process that also requires the cooperation of the business community.
