Map of confiscated criminal assets - Lezha, record in 2025, dethrones Tirana.

Around 233 is the number of confiscated assets of those citizens who have committed criminal offenses of trafficking, corruption or organized crime, assets which are currently in the possession of the Agency for the Administration of Sequestered and Confiscated Assets (AAPSK).

Last year there was a lower number of confiscated assets than in 2024.

Also, unlike 2024 where most properties were confiscated in Tirana, it seems that 2025 has changed the map of confiscations. According to the catalog published by AAPSK, Lezha turns out to have marked a record of 56 properties that have passed to the state after confiscation by court decision.

Meanwhile, in second place is Durrës with 40 confiscated properties, Tirana with 33, Vlora with 30 (only the city without the surroundings, so not the entire district) and Berat with 18.

From year to year, the confiscated assets are diverse, ranging from buildings, apartments, residential buildings, land, farmland, clothing stores, coffee-bar businesses, garages, billiards, fast food, pastry shops and many others.

The Agency for the Administration of Seized and Confiscated Assets receives from the State Police and administers assets seized and confiscated from criminal groups or other persons. These assets, which pass into the hands of the state, can be put up for sale by the latter through auctions or leased.

Likewise, a considerable number of assets are given for financial compensation to victims of organized crime and human trafficking, can be transferred to state institutions for use as offices or given for social reuse.

On the other hand, confiscated monetary values can be deposited in bank accounts or invested in treasury bills.
