Prrenjas-Librazhd road opens to traffic
At noon, the road connecting Prrenjas with Librazhd and further to the southeastern area of the country was opened to traffic.
The head of the Albanian Road Traffic Authority, Ami Kozeli, stated that after almost 10 days of intensive work, the road axis has been opened to all vehicles, recalling that heavy tonnage vehicles must respect their weight limit of 8.2 tons per axle.
The traffic will be carried out through a temporary diversion. A diversion road has been built adjacent to the existing position until the alternative route is built on the Shkumbin Riverbed and integrated with the railway body.
The segment will operate with construction site signage and will temporarily be unpaved until the layers stabilize, after which final paving will be carried out.
