Strengthening and reconstruction of substations/ OSSH invests 600 million lek for the 35kV line in Elbasan
The High Voltage Directorate of OSSH sh.a has announced the opening of the tender for the construction of the 35kV line, 220 kV substation Elbasan - Mjekës - Cerrujë - Gramsh.
According to the document published by the Public Procurement Agency, this project will start from the Radio – Elbasan, Banjë – Cërrujë – Gramsh substation and end in Mjekës – Elbasan and the reconstruction and strengthening of the Gramsh, Cerrujë Banjë substations. The estimated limit fund for this project is 599 million and 983 thousand lekë.
The idea and purpose of this line is also the possibility in the future for the passage of a circuit with a voltage level of 110kV, adapting to the developments and increase in electricity production from both HPP and photovoltaic plants in this area. The construction of this new line will create the possibility of increasing transmission and distribution capacities in the 35kV network of the OSSH in these areas. This investment aims to adapt the network to developments on the ground related to projects of generating sources in both hydro and photovoltaic.
Meanwhile, the substations will be reconstructed and powered with 35kV tracts at the Gramsh, Cerrujë, and Banjë substations. The line will be built on a new route, will have two 35kV circuits, with 110kV poles.
Referring to the document, the construction of the new 35kV line and the input-output tracts at Gramsh Substation, Cerrujë, will enable the increase in the transmission and distribution capacities of electricity, of a large area with a large number of family and private subscribers, and will provide protection from the problems created by the production of electricity by private HPPs during periods of heavy rainfall.
Likewise, the security of electricity supply will be increased with parameters, according to technical conditions and standards for all consumers. At the same time, technical losses in the medium voltage network will be reduced. The benefits from this investment will also be in improving the quality of electricity service, such as: reducing interruptions, improving the voltage level and improving quality indicators.
