"Drone monitoring for public spaces" Rama: Confrontations will be done through technology
Prime Minister Edi Rama initiated the action of freeing up public spaces during meetings with citizens during the electoral campaign. According to the Prime Minister, what was most noticeable was the occupation of public spaces. On the "Sy m'sy" platform, Prime Minister Rama said that the goal is to create a balance between the interest of citizens to have free public spaces and the need of businesses for outdoor service, i.e. 70% for citizens, and 30% for businesses.
"Urban Renaissance 2.0. We have 60 architects who are working throughout the country, locally and in Tirana, for urban territories in the community area, and this will happen in Tirana as well, step by step. Tirana needs urban culture, another aesthetic level of services, because this is the moment that we could lose the title as the leader of tourism in the Balkans, so it is also the moment to transform services from water, territory, food security, urbanization. These are milestones that will be key for the fourth mandate and are related to Albania's membership in the EU," Rama said.
But, even for this action, Prime Minister Rama emphasized that everything will be monitored with drones and that the confrontation will be done through technology.
"We will follow everything that happens in the territory through drones and information received from drones, which will make the work of inspectors and eyes on the ground face the observation of technology. This will take us to the next level and we will be much more confident about not reversing any progress in this direction."
