Customs "listens" to business/Invites to evaluate services to improve them
The General Directorate of Customs invites business to contribute to the improvement of customs services through a new questionnaire
The General Directorate of Customs has launched a new initiative to involve the business community in the process of evaluating and improving customs services.
In the interest of transparency and continuous improvement of customs services, following the European approach to an efficient and digital administration, the institution invites all economic operators to complete the following questionnaire as a form of direct cooperation to identify their needs and suggestions.
The questionnaire, which is available in Albanian and English, aims to collect structured data on the experience that businesses have with the customs administration, as well as to identify areas where interventions can be undertaken for further improvement.
Regarding the performance of the customs administration, according to the General Directorate of Customs, the assessments received from the last questionnaire were at very high levels, which reflect the continuous progress in several key areas, such as: the digitalization of services, which has enabled easier, faster and more secure access for users; the reduction of processing time for customs declarations for import, export and transit procedures, as well as Authorized Economic Operators, who benefit from facilitations in procedures and controls.
Meanwhile, the questionnaire aims to collect feedback on: The quality of services and the level of communication with the customs administration; the accessibility and functionality of digital platforms in use; the experience during applications for authorizations and during physical control procedures; as well as concrete recommendations for improvements in services or in the content of customs policies.
The data collected will be at the heart of DPD's efforts to improve efficiency and transparency, with the ultimate goal of achieving European Union customs standards by 2030.
The Albanian Customs Administration is one of the key institutions in the country's European integration process, with a direct role in the management of Chapter 29 - Customs Union, as well as active contributions to other chapters related to the internal market, competition and fiscal policies.
