ADFZ, "megaproject" for the regeneration of the villages of Albania - Urban retraining and systemization of roads for the 4 regions of the country
The Albanian Development Fund is getting ready to launch a national investment project for urban regeneration in the 4 regions of the country. The focus of interventions will be densely populated villages as well as peripheral and informal areas.
For this purpose, two tenders have been announced, where the one for regions 1 and 2 of the country has a limit fund of 439 million ALL, while the one for regions 3 and 4 has a limit fund of 416 million ALL.
Referring to the tender documents, the main goal of the project is to increase the quality of life of the communities that live in urban areas and to connect tourist areas that have potential for economic and social development.
The interventions will improve the circulation of vehicles and people and will increase the safety of movement.
The project envisages the requalification of urban blocks by systematizing roads, sidewalks, flower gardens, facades of buildings or buildings, rest areas, recreational spaces, etc.
The project "Urban regeneration in peripheral, informal areas and in densely populated villages is planned to be financed within the Operational Program 2022-2024 of the ADF.
